Definitely, Peoples Representation Act needs drastic amendments. BUT, who will bell the cat, as the same people are there to amend the legislation? Can we expect them any time to debar themselves by any enactment?

Yes, but the word "should" has become meaningless in our public life. So many things 'should' be done and need to be done against those who are empowered to do these things, that it is wishful thinking and nothing more. Only solution is, to OUTSOURCE PARLIAMENT to S'pore. Indian are unfit to do the legislative work, as proven in last 63 yrs of our history.
