Alimony u/s 3 of MWA

hello all,

can any one please let me know that can a divorced muslim women who left her husband, who is highly educated and working, who is young and has no children, get alimony u/s 3 of Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Divorce) Act, 1986? can you please quote recent judgments. husband has already paid maher and iddat period maintenance at the time of divorce, and also given back all gifts and articles.

 

your advice will be highly appreciated.

When she is working she cannot claim any maintenance.

yes... she can't claim maintenance if she is working....

She can, depending on certain conditions. Judgement is already posted in the family forum. Spend sometime to read it. Also refer to Dr. Bharti Majumdar's query. You can check other Experts' opinions, given there.
