Hey
Article 15(2) states that
No citizen shall, on grounds only of religion, race, caste, s*x, place of birth or any of them, be subject to any disability, liability, restriction or condition with regard to
Article 16(2)
No citizen shall, on grounds only of religion, race, caste, s*x, descent, place of birth, residence or any of them, be ineligible for, or discriminated against in respect or, any employment or office under the State
The prohibited grounds of discrimination under Article 16 (2) are somewhat wider than those under Article 15 (2) because Article 16 (2) prohibits discrimination on the additional grounds of descent and residence apart from religion, race, caste, s*x and place of birth.
Hope this helps
