Cheque bouncing

Sir, within how much time after cheque gets bounced can a legal case be filed under Sec 138 & is there any fees to be paid in court for this .

within 30 days from the time of receipt of Bank's return memo, you will have to give a statutory notice to the drawer of the cheque, intimating him of the cheque dishonour and demand payment from him in lieu of the returned cheque, within 15 days from the date of receipt of your notice. If he/she does not pay up within 15 days from the date of receipt of your notice, you may file a case within 30 days from the date of expiry of the said 15 days.

Agrees with Padmanabhan with correction of 1 month, (instead of 30 days)from the date of expiry of the said 15 days notice recd. .
