Dda flats 3rd floor gate installation by 2nd and 3rd floor (duplex) owner

I am onwer of a Duplex flat 2nd and 3rd floor. Is it allowed to install a gate on the 3rd floor on my wall approaching the common area on stairs. Is it covered  in condonable items of addition and alteration allowed by DDA. Please advise.

Common area cannot be covered / gate installed to block passage by anyone.

Consult a local architect for clarification on Building Bye-Laws of DDA.

No passage has been blocked, actually in duplex DDA has not given exit on upper floor I have installed a gate in similar Faison all the floors have gate without compromise anyone's privacy.
