Ex-wife's claim on self earned property after divorce

Can the ex-wife, who i divorced, claim my self-earned property as maintenance? All these property were earned before my marriage with her. Is there any law that states husband has to share the property? Or can the maintenance be decided based on my property values?

The share in your property doesn't exist for your wife after divorce, even before she doesn't have share in the property that is in your name. However for claim of permanent alimony and maintenance, your income out of the property can be taken in account while deciding the quantum of the same for your wife.

Though there is no share to wife in property of husband, the Law and advocates and judges and partly yourself will ensure with time that your wife will not only seek a share in your property or perhaps become the owner of your properties through deafult under interim  maintenance alone. So dont be under false impression that your property cannot be taken away by your wife as told by above advocate.
