Illegal parking charges

Hi,

There is a Supreme Court Judgement mentioning that no builder can charge for Car Parking in Apartments (I am not sure about Villas) but still this practice continues in Bangalore and even Karnataka Housing Board is not following it. And the recent Real Estate Bill passed says that the builder can charge only for the carpet area and I need not mention again that this also no one cares. I wanted to make an effort to bring an end to this. How can I do this? Request your guidance. Can a case be filed in Supreme Court directly as it is contempt of court?

If you are an aggrieved party or the legal representative of such aggrieved party, you can straight a way send legal notice to the builder to drop the collection of charges for parking area or if any amount has been already collected, to refund the same with bank interest.

If it is not responded favourably, you can go for case against the builder either to restrain the illegal collection of parking area charges or for recovery of money, as the case may be.

Thanks a lot for the reply.

But I am outsider in this case. As a normal citizen can't I do anything about this? Because this practice is prevailing very rampantly in Bangalore.
