Is it act 66 a compromisable ???

Is Information Technology Act 66 A Compromisable ???

This case is between me and a popular media house, who had actually lodged a complaint against me and my article published at my News Blog on Sep, 26, 2011.

I'm under bail now and attending court on summons, Now we have actually come to a compromise deal with the media house ( This case is being handled by Public Prosecutor for them ). Our lawyer is very much not clear about the compromise option in this Section. The Public Prosecutor is telling my lawyer that there is no compromise option with this IT Act 66A.

Someone, Please help me in giving me some knowledge about this. It would be great if you PM me your mobile number, So that i would get some clarity.

It is compoundable, refer him section 77A of IT ACT, but u have to plead guilty and procedure will be followed  as per section 265 B and 265C of crpc.

Yes offence is certainly compoundable if women or children are not involved in it.
