I have a quick question. The ancestral property that was acquired by my Grand Father was transferred to my my father & I have the mutation paperwork. After my father's death the said property was transferred to my mother per his will via Mutation.
My mother has a buyer and is selling the property. Is the Mutation good enough to sell the property? The buyers lawyer did his research and came back to say that the Mutation was for tax puirpose only. What does that mean? I have never heard of any such thing. Is there any such thing as Mutation for tax purpos only? I am confused.
I thought that Mutation was transfer of title at the Nigham. Please help ASAP. Thanks
