No tenancy certificate (karnataka)

Esteemed legal minds,

I need some help in clarifying the requirement of "No/Nil Tenancy Certificate (NTC)" for buying an agricultural land in Karnataka.

A. Is the NTC document required to show that the seller is not the tenant or to show that there are no tenants in the land which is up for sale?

B. Is the NTC required, if the mutation papers shows that the seller is the legitimate owner of the land through acquisition, and he is not the tenant?

C. If the NTC document is required, is it only for the intended survey # (which is up for sale) or for all the properties held by the seller in the taluka where the sale property is located?

Just meet some advocate who is dealing with such local revenue cases, or simply approach to revenue department they will guide you properly.

No Tenancy Certificate is a proof for a citizen to show that he/she does not possess land or property as a tenant.

Karnataka land holding certificate is a proof of ownership of land. When a person is holding this document, he has the right to transfer the possession to other parties. Tahsildar issues this document to the owner of the registered land as proof of ownership with no mortgage on it. Landholding certificate is the prima facie evidence of the truth of the matters contained in the land records.

Karnataka land holding certificate will be issued only if there is no dispute regarding its ownership and the concerned land should not Karnataka Government land or assigned land belonging to the Karnataka Government.

Karnataka land holding certificate contains detail of the possession or cultivation of land.
