We own an apartment in Bangalore. It is in the name of my mother who is 58. This has been given out to rent since August 1 09, but the tenant has only paid rent for one month even though the agreement calls for rent in advance. Subsequent calls have resulted in the tenant providing evasive replies. He has now sent a notice to my mother saying that we should not call him or contact him other than in written form.
We foresee more such problems and therefore will require the tenant to vacate. The rent agreement (11 months) allows for either party to terminate the agreement with one month's notice.
The property will no longer be let out and will be occupied by my mother, who has hearing problems and has to deal with extremely high noise levels in the house she is currently residing in (owned).
We do not know if the tenant will create issues in future, therefore we want to send the notice in the correct legal manner. What is the correct format to send such a notice?
