Practice of obtaining affidavits of prosecution witnesses in advance by defence is deprecated

 
The practice adopted by the defence side in getting the affidavits of these witnesses in advance is to be deprecated. That, in a way, amounts to an attempt aimed at dissuading the witnesses from speaking truth before the court.
