Redevelopment of connected building

Ours is a connected building. One part is owned by us and other by some other family. Both the buildings have tenants. Now, the tenants and owner of the other side of the building have agreed for redevelopment. The builder has also bought the other side of the building and is now trying to redevelop the other part by chipping / cutting the other part of the building. What are our rights and duties? Can he do that way by cutting half part of the same building and redeveloping only that part?

If the BMC has approved the plan for the whole building, he can redevelop a part of it by razing it. The structure will have to be certified by the BMC as unsafe and then the connecting building too will come into the picture.
