Sale of flat under General Power of Attorney

I am interested in buying a flat for which the husband & wife have given notarized (2005) PoA to the wife`s father. What is legally correct way to handle this.

Yes. You can buy through a registered PoA holder.

Thx for the quick reply. Unfortunately the couple are abroad so cannot get a registered PoA can they get it notarized at the embassy? Would that be as legally valid?

You said they have given PoA to father in 2005 - now you say something different - anyway a PoA executed under Embassy's authentication is a valid authorisation.
