Sisters rights on my fathers property

All,

I would appreciate if someone can help me to understand peroperty laws. My grandfather had 2 daughters and 2 sons incluidng my father. My grandfather had 2 properties and before he dies he gave 1 to his younger son and 1 to my father in writting. After his death, his younger son sold his property and moved to some other state. My father always kept his mom with him in the same house. Couple of years ago, my father passed away due to an attack and never got a change to write a will. Now in the same house, my grandma and my mom are living.

Can someone help me to understand that who owns this property now? Would my father's sisters have any rights on this property? If no, can they give us any trouble in terms of laws when time comes to sell this property.

Thanks

If the property was self acquired property of your grand father and it was transferred to your father thru., regd., rights relinquish deed or thur., a will then sisters of your father cannot claim.  If it is ancestral property of your GF, and property transferred to your father and your uncle thru., an unregd., deed then sisters can claim their share.

Well sisters dont have any right and 1st legal heirs are mother, wife and children and not sisters. but still an a safer side get the property transfred in the name of 1st legal heirs.
