Sir,
I am Krishnama Naidu Bashyam, a retired Regional Rural Bank employee. Recently I have applied for a passport, and for Date of Birth, I produce. ed my Secondary School Leaving Certificate. Sir, the concerned Passport Office rejected my application since there was a minor spelling mistake in my Surname. In the school leaving certificate; it is 'BHASHYAM', whereas in my Voter ID and all my employee documents, the same SUrname is written as 'BASHYAM", the 'H" is not spelt. Sir, this latest name is found in all my job certificates, . my PF, pension certificates etc. Could I request for a clarification on how to correct or can I produce any other DOB proof .
Please let me know how can I rectify and delete this 'H' through legal means.
I sincerely look forward for your earliest guidance for applying for a passport.
