tender of rent by cheque

The landlord is not in practice to accept rent by cheque in default of payment of rent the landlord had given notice for demand of rent and ejectment the tenant tendered rent through cheque on his xyz firm's account tenancy in indivisual name landlord refused to accept the rent through cheque and the same returned back to tenant and now file suit for recovery of rent and ejectment issue involved in the case is 'Rent tendered by tenant through cheque was a valid tender or not' please give any citation about this issue NOT VALID TENDER.

 If the rent is not accepted by the landlord, the tenant should file application to deposit the rent in court.

in case of fefusal rent can be deposited in rent control office also.

Tenant has to tender the rent either by way of a money order or demand draft.
