Threatened to send legal notice by vodaphone to client

Hi need your advice over my simple case. I had vodaphone card for my phone. In June  they asked my to pay my bill Bill amount was 1500.  I told  them to send their executive to collect the money. Their executive came home n gave us receipt and i paid the amount. After few days later again i got call from vodaphone for bill payment. I told them i paid the bill they asked me invoice number. Since i had invoice i gave it to them on phone. After few days again their was a call for bill payment. I told them its been paid and i have given the invoice number. they told me to send me scan copy of that invoice. Unfortunately i had misplaced my invoice by then. I told them repeatedly i have misplaced it but i have given my invoice number please refer to my discussion on xxxx date or in your notes. They didnt agree. there after every moth they call me on my alternate number for bill n i narrate them this story n they dont get convinced. I told them to give me name of the executive that came to my house they dont have it. This time same thing happened they called me n i said refer my discussion on june. But they didnt agree. they said they will serve me legal notice for this. What can i do?

Its not about money. I know i have lost invoice n its my fault. Can you advice me over this?

In each company one manager is I/c of collection agencies and ea h collection agent is given numbered receipt book. You may demand the details and on that day which numbered receipt was missing. You can find out by visiting local RO. Narrated in writing and if you are unable to handle on your own approach your lawy a.d retain the receipt.er. In future prefer to pay in per
