Using pen Name

Dear Sir

I would like to know the legal position regarding using a pen name for carrying our bussiness activity while retaining original name in bank and official documents. What i mean bussiness is carrying and giving services and goods using my pen name whicl receiving payments and bank transfers using my legal name whichis present in passport bank account etc.
