Without parent document can we buy

Hello,

We are planning to purchase a property without "Parent document".  They say it is the ancestral property and there is no parent document.

DOCUMENT1: It is sold to Person A by 20+ people(we were told from same family) in 1987

DOCUMENT2:Person A has given POA to Person B in2005.

Can we buy this property without Parent document.  It is just patta land.

Thanks

Rama

Take search for record of right for 30 years.

Hello,

Can there be this situation- No Parent document?  Usually there will be the layout done by the authorities.

My understanding is every plot will have the parent document. Please advice.

Thanks.

You may insist on Patta in the name of the buyer of his property for sale and it is sufficient for a better title. It's not a rule that every property document should be supported by a parent document.
