In one of my legal civil suit, I changed the existing lawyer and paid all the amount which we finalized at the beginning of the case. But after four months, he sent me a mail asking for Rs 6Lacs as a fee for the same case. Whatever the payment I made was through net banking or via cheque payment.
What should we do now in this matter? Please help. Thanks

If you know, then reply him accordingly. That's all. What role we have to play here?

He mentioned the appearing charges @20000 per appearance from last 4.5 years. I was shocked seeing that mail and that is a completely fraudulent trick which he is planning for. We never discussed the fee on per hearing basis. He actually feeling bed and taking it personally when i taken the case away from him to given to another lawyer. Please help.
