pati parameswar : patni parameswari
pati dev : patni devi
this is the actual format in hindi.
Prathama, Dooj, Teej, Chauth / chaturthy, Panchmi, Chhath, saptami, ashtami, navami, dashahara, gyaras, Barsi, Teras, chaudahvi, Poornima and finally Amavasya...
All these are nothing but only - PANDA KA FUNDA.
It is the - ANDE KA FUNDA. No one knows PAHLE MURGI AAYI YA ANDA. Bas khaaye jao aur Presser Cooker ke gun gaaye jao.

Ram Samudre Ji, they know not what they are doing because they too are part and parcel of the system. Hence when a woman thinks differently than the system permits her, she is abused, she is ridiculed, she is battered physically and mentally in the name of honor, traditions, myths and religion.
Ram Samudre Ji , I am sure you are working in villages too. Ask a battered woman why was she battered. Out of 10 , 8 would tell you they questioned their husbands on one thing or another, they questioned his wasting money on alcohol for example. How one can question Parameshawar? So the guy may not have told his wife that he should be treated like a parameshawar, he does not have to, because he acts like one--all powerful. Another most popular reason would be a wife 's going out without his permission, or may be coming home late, or in the era of Sangams and Self help groups, knowing something about the world outside, may invoke the wrath of the same all powerful. I have just talked about the rural reality. Bottom line is the same for majority of women, only some variables would be different.
The changes would take place through lot of pain, reflection and introspection of how to interpret personal experiences. This change will not happen as a result of sudden uprising. This change would happen only through progressive education and progressive laws over a period of time...

..........Poornima and finally Amavasya...
- AFTER PURNIMA, AMAVASYA ....... YES IT IS CORRECT.
IN A MARRIAGE, AFTER PURNIMA, IT IS AMAVASYA.
FOR A MOON, PURNIMA, AMAVASYA AGAIN PURNIMA..... CONTINUING
BUT IN CASE OF MARRIAGE - AFTER PURNIMA, ONLY AMAVASYA THEREAFTER, A BIG FULL STOP.

This is not the first time that the wife has donated for her husband. I personally coordinated more than 600 liver transplant and most the donations were given by wives only.

YES FASTING IS VERY DIFFICULT.
ACTUALLY ALL THESE ARE OPTIONAL.
SOME OF OUR FUNDAMENTALISTS MAKES THESE OPTIONS AS A COMPULSION.
TODAY'S LADIES ARE BUSY TO THEIR PROFESSIONS, THEY SHOULD NOT FURTHER DISTURBED IN THE NAME OF RELIGIOUS COMPULSION.
A TOKEN FAST OF 2 HOURS MAY BE FOLLOWED.
OUR RELIGIOUS LEADERS LIKE SHANKRACHYARJ ETC SHOULD PRONOUNCE IT.
NOW WE SHORTCUTTED OUR 'SHRADHA' CEREMONY FROM 30 TO 13 DAYS. LIKE THAT ALL RELIGIOUS COMPULSION SHOULD BE IN SHORT FORM, WITH A MATCHING TO MODERN DAYS.

How can Saree be the only Indian outfit for women? In Punjab it is salwar Kameez which is most popular and respected dress, In North Eastern India, it is a wrap around skirt sort of dress( in some places it is called Phonik)? So when we talk about India, it is a bit complicated.
Are all men remain clad in Dhoti for that matter?
