I have filed a money recovery suit in small cause court, totalling Rs. 92,000/-. What kind of Advocate's fees, I am supposed to pay? I have already paid him some advance. The case will enter the evidence stage.

The fees of an advocate is based generally on the standing and experience of the advocate, apart from that it the mutual agreement of the client and the advocate. As far as the advance is concerned there are certain expenses like drafting the plaint, typing exps, court fee, clerkage etc...Some advocates also charge fees for appearing before the court.

there are no set parameters for it, every lawyer has its own way of working and all are independent to demand the fee which according them is reasonable.
negotiate it with your counsel.

Reasonableness based on the nature of the case should be our guiding light for the fees.
