Ancestral property for women

My name is Lakshmi and I am from Tamilnadu. I have 6 brother and 4 sisters. It is an ancestral property. My father died in 1994. Now brothers claim that the property will be divided only among male heirs and female heirs have no rights to claim the property.

As per Hindu succession Act(Amendment) 2005, married/unmarried heirs are having equal rights to the ancestral property. But i am seeing a conflict with the Tamil Nadu Hindu Succession Act (Amendment 1989) which says women married prior to 25-Mar-1989 have no rights to claim equal share on ancestral property.

My date of birth is 25th July 1958 and i got married on 1978.

Experts pls. clarify the conflict and suggest whether legal proceedings would favor me. Thanks in advance.
