CAN AN ARTIST IN GOVERNMENT JOB SELL HIS WORKS?

Is it permissible for a government servant to earn money by putting up exhibition-cum-sale of his/her Paintings during his/her service, keeping in view that he/she is a National Award winner by the Lalit Kala Akademi under Union Ministry of Culture?

Conduct rules give permission with prior approval for the literary and artistic works to be published by Govt servants. Provided such paintings etc were not part of duty.

Yes, if your artistic works are not related to your duties and responsibilities.
