A guy gets engaged to a girl & marriage is scheduled for 3 months later time. Prior to the engagement guy confesses to the girl that he was in a relationship & he will try to forget the girl.
Call it circumstances or anything else the guy is not able to forget his past love & calls his fiance & informs her that he will not be able to forget as a result of which her future life & happiness may be impacted. He requests her to cancel the engagement for the betterment of the 2.
The girl tries to understand the problem but does not take any action to cancel. The Guy starts to force the girl to call it off stating he will definitely not be able to keep her happy & if they marry it may result in the guy not fulfilling her needs or not going together or the guy going to abroad after marriage on work without the girl.
Girls family gets involved but are not ready to cancel the engagement because it may affect the girls future if she does not get a good guy. Guy requests them but they are adamant. If guy becomes really adamant and instead of requesting says strictly he will not marry.
Now, is there any legal implication that can be carried out from the girls family towards the guy? If yes, what can be done. If no, why not?
