Yes it can be amended as per procedure prescribed.

What is your locus standi / concern / problem to amend the plaint ?

What are the facts? What is the context?

Going strictly by your question, please note, yes - the plaint may be amended under the provisions of Order VI Rule 17 Code of Civil Procedure as the proposed amendment will not change the very nature of the suit.  However, the objective of injunction till the pendency of the suit may also be accomplished without amendment of the plaint and simply filing an application under order XXXIX Rule 1 & 2 Code of Civil Procedure.
