Credit card fraud transactions

My son got a new SBI cad in May 2017.

After a month of usage he got a call from sbi card for upgrade.

Credit card provided personal details and wanted OTP for upgrade and so shared.

Suddenly, got two message posting 2 transactions each for Rs. 5000/-.

The credit card team was immediately contacted and alerted.

Credit card was blocked and transaction dispute was raised and submitted.

Transactions were in memo status for 3 days after that changed to settled

SBI card demand for payment.

Please advise whether my son's liability for the transaction in the following situation

1. No transaction was initiated

2. OTP was not used

3. SBI card was alerted immediately and submitted dispute form within 24 hours of transaction

4. Transaction acquirer or SBI card team delay to share beneficiary details for filing criminal complaint

Regards,

Regupathy

As per your query the OTP was shared and 2 transactions @ Rs.5000/ were done.

You must have not shared OTP.

M/s SBI card could have shared the said beneficiary detail..promptly.

For delay relate with time mentioned in MITC and/or T&C of M/s SBI card..

Approach senior LOCAL counsel of unshakable repute and integrity specializing in consumer  matters  and well versed with latest citations, LOCAL applicable rules/laws/ … and having successful track record…. and worth his/her salt…..and show the case related docs etc etc for a considered opinion..
