Discrimination on the basis of Covid-19

What if a covid patient and entire family members face discrimination on the basis of it within the community/ colony or even from the groups of people. Does the law protects them. Under which Indian laws, can they seek the protection from such harassment/ discrimination? Kindly enlighten me

COVID has been declared as a pandemic, and breaking the chain through a separation is never treated as discrimination.  If you think that it is discrimination and contrary to law read the GOI guidelines.  The citizens' rights are not absolute and limited to such clauses.  The liberty stops at the tip of the nose, and can not be used on other citizens.  If you treat this as discrimination, all the Government dept. , shops, airports, hospitals,  schools, many countries are discriminating against Covid patients.

Well explained by expert Mr. G.L.N. Prasad.

I fully agree with his views and endorse it.

I agree but what about the acts of some local guys who formed themselves as a covid task force who're not empowered under any laws.
