DIVORCE

A COUPLE GOT MARRIED UNDER THE HINDU MARRIAGE ACT AND REGISTERED THE SAME.  THEREAFTER THEY MARRIED AGAIN IN UK AND GOT THE MARRIAGE REGISTERED IN UK.  NOW THEY WANT TO DIVORCE. DO THEY NEED TO OBTAIN DIVORCE IN BOTH COUNTRIES I.E. INDIA AS WELL AS UK?

AS THE FIRST MARRIAGE TOOK PLACE AT INDIA THEREFORE, THE PLACE IS INDIA.

IF IT IS MUTUAL DIVORCE AND THE PARTIES PRESENTLY AT UK, THEN MAY TAKE FROM UK.

IN CASE OF CONTESTED,  INDIA PREFERED,

BUT IF THE PRTIES ARE AT PRESENT IN UK, AND BOTH ARE AGREED THEN MAY SETTLE THE MATTER AT UK ALSO. NOW INDIA IS TOO MUCH DISTURBED IN DIVORCE MATTER.
