Hijab at school

Respected Lawyers/ Advocates,

I'm from Tamilnadu. Mostly all the schools & colleges in our state allows every student to follow their respective religions inside the campus. Muslim girls are always permitted to wear their Hijabs on their school/college uniforms as it's their Religious Right & freedom as citizen of India. But recently I got to know about a school in which they don't allow Muslim girls to wear hijab. There are a lot of muslim girls receiving their education at that school. For muslims, When a girl has reached her puberty, it becomes obligatory upon her to cover her head & wear modest dress. In case of school going girls, they wear uniform & cover their heads with scarf. but that school prohibits such them from wearing hijab scarf as it's out of their school rules. I request the respected Advocates & the protectors of our constitution who are reading this. kindly guide them with this issue and provide a legal solution and justice for those girls to continue their education without any kind of interruption.
Thank you

You can initiate a public interest litigation on this subject and seek remedy through high court.

If you are affected then you can file a writ petition against the school authorities on the basis of the law you rely upon for remedy to this issue
