How to answer inquiring officer in my case ?

tell the IO that wife has taken everything along with her and u dont have anything left with you

let him ask same thing N no. of times

u keep telling the same thing N+1 no of times

dont succumb to the threats / abusive language of the IO

be cool.

IO job is to scare you and get you talking what they want to listen. Rightly said by nadeem sir, speak truth. Fight the case on merit as advised by many seniors here. IO used a typical interrogation in my case "Good cop, bad cop", speak the truth. you r not going to spend your entire life in prison for a false 406.

IPC 406 cannot be made out since ur wife has already mentioned that she possess stridhan. You should relax don't even get panic. This is a clear example here in ur case how law is misused in india ? Does ur wife lawyer even know the difinition of IPC 406 ?

My experience: My IO keep on calling me even after my wife closed the case, finally I discovered she called for money..., I dint not!

it is not advisable to entertain police with money, when you are right be staright and keep teeling your innocense, no matter what! Finally he has to close the case and report to Judiciary.

better to have a lawyer informed and have it in handy or Available over phone.
