How to compound offence

Hi

I am from Punjab; F I R was registered against my cousin u/s 420,406 IPC in 2011.Allegations were that he took money from clients and never send them abroad. The trial is now at prosecution’s evidence stage and 6 pws has already examined. There are total 21 pws. Now parties want to compromise. My query is that can trial court allow them to compound offence at this stage or what is the procedure of compromise at this stage? Thank you.
