Ibps so

Greetings to all!

I've been searching about it for a while on many social media websites but I'm unable to get a clarifying answer. I want to know, that if I opt for IBPS SO and clear the test, can I get my posting to be somewhere neare my hometown? I've been looking for specific details about it but no satisfactory response if sound. Can anyone here explain in detail about the posting procedure in IBPS SO also please tell that if by any chance we can get a fixed place as posting?

I'll be glad if someone can provide with more specific answer.

IBPS is not a public authority and is only concerned with conducting examinations and sending a list of successful candidates to the Bank. There is no policy in any bank on such appointments. The bank can post you in any of their branches and most banks may post such successful candidate in their native states or in the state from which they appeared for the examination. Appointment at the branch is the right of the employer.
