Internet connection payment

Dear all

I had one internet connection which I disconnected in the month of June. I wrote a mail to the company for disconnection for which the company replied stating that their person will come and take the router. Since then, the company is sending monthly bills and asking for payment. I have called the customer care and they have told not to pay the outstanding bill. Today morning I received a call from one advocate who threatened me to pay the full bill with Rs 2000 extra or else he'll file the case in Delhi High Court.

The company is registered in Mumbai and I am staying in Chennai. How come he can file a case in Delhi High Court

Please suggest me whether the call was fake or not

The email that you have sent and reply that you have recieved is sufficient.

You have notified to cancell the connection and it should have been disconnected within 7days.

Record all calls.

Write final communication to customer care on the email trail of the emails sent/recived that NO One ever visited you, and you have called/reminded on dated......................and dated..................and in place of adhering to your instructions company has resorted to unfair parctice of calls by .........................from phone numbers........................on dated....................demanding undue monies from you.

Lodge police complaint and consumer compalint in DCDRF.
