Ipc 498 a related please advice

wife and husband are living seperately after fifteen days of marriage.wife does not want to live together but husband wants to live together.wife complained in police station and polcie personeel are calling that there is a case registered on the husband and the wife in laws saying that she has complained of mental and physical harassment for dowry so i think 498a and asking to some to police station please advice.

filing 498a just after fifteen days of marriage.even if so you need not panic.the police might call you for counselling.

i agree with s. kumar sir be cafter 15 day of marriage 498a complaint so you need to counselling police call to you and you wife in police station for counselling

There is no need to take the matter so lightly just because marriage lasted for 15 days. Dowry allegation can arise even without marriage at all. There is no law which states that dowry allegation cannot be made upto certain period after marriage and that the wife must endure dowry related torture for a long time then only complaint.
