Is it too late to file a dispute?

Greeting all lawyers

I was working in company in Pune which I left in march 2010,while leaving I got no dues certficate

on april I got email ,"Hi Vijay,

Your full and final settlement has been processed an there is a recovery of Rs. 26,557/- towards to non submission of ID Card & Access card."

later they mailed as

"Hi Vijay,

The below mentioned recover is not towards your ID card but the leave balance of -1.75 days and leave without pay from 13 Jan 2010 to 26 Feb 2010."

when I denied they threated me ,I dont have any proof of that threatening and got afrid and paid in dec 2010

By any chance can I make case against them for illegal extortion?

Almost you are delayed. Atleast now arrange to send a legal notice to them for their explanation. the file a suit.

Thanks but for 20,000 would lawyer charge more? also can it come under any particular law? can I file for more amount?

Your case is badly barred by limitation, so you do not have options at this belated stage than to just ignore it, however consult a lawyer and issue a legal notice demanding the amount, on any commitment by your previous office, you will get the issue renewed if not discard it and look into other business.
