MADURAI LAWYER (LEGAL CONSULTANT)     13 September 2011

Medical jurisprudence--interference by relative of patient.

(L) Medical Jurisprudence - Interference by relative of patient - Patient herself a doctor critically ill - Her husband also a doctor by profession - Interference by him, if any, cannot be taken to be an excuse for abdicating one's responsibility especially when an interference could also have been in the nature of suggestion - Contributory negligence is not pertinent - It may, however, have some role to play for the purpose of damages.
