Original Link sale deed document mssing

Hi Sir,

I have purchaed a house site from private layout in 2003 (Betterment changes paid). I have taken loan from HSBC bank for the purchase. Now I wanted to sell the site. Buyer asked me for the original previous link sale deed. I am not sure if the Bank people took that along with my present sale deed.

When I was checking for all the documents, I found a certified copy of the same (Previous sale deed)with me which was given to me during my buy. Though I am not sure if I was give with the Original deed or not. Kindly help with a adwise on how to proceed on this. I am worried as I have not cheked on this for almost 10 yrs and if there is a possibility of missuse original document (Previour sale deed)during this time.

Note: Original Sale deed is still there with HSBC and I am still paying the load.

Regards,

Sreenivas

Check with the bank, it is the only solution. However you can also apply and get certified copies of the original link document from the local SRO office

Hi Sir, Thanks for the advise, How Important is that the Link sale deed should be original. Since I have the current original sale deed. would it be save to the buyer if I get him a Certified copy for the link sale deed and the original current sale deed.

You can indeminfy the current purchaser in case of the link document to make him feel more comfortable of the transaction.

mr.Sreenivasa, Usually all the original deeds connected with the document are required. Probably you've obtained Patta in your name

Only an advocate can study the documents and other information and give opinion as to safety of transaction.
