pecuniary jurisdiction of various courts differ from state to state. you can chech with small causes court located at high court complex in chennai. i think the same is Rs.25000.00

Rs.1,00,000/= for the Junior Civil Judge Courts and between Rs.1,00,000/ to 5,00,000/= it is Suboridinate Judge Court . For the amount exceeding Rs.5,00,000/= it is Distirct court
