Pension arrear

I had joined NHPC Ltd. in 1998 as a trainee officer (Finance) and left it in  sept,2011 to join Nalco.

As I had served NHPC from 2007 onwards, I was entitled to the benefits of 2007 pay  revision which entailed payment of  superannuation benefits at the rate of 30%  that would comprise pf, gratuity, post  retirement medical benefits and balance as pension. Before resigning NHPC , I had received my arrears on account of revision of scale but was not paid any arrear on account of pension as NHPC was in the process of formulating the pension policy but had not finalized the same till I left in Sept 2011.

                NHPC had finalized  a pension scheme in April 2012 which entails some defined contribution  as  a percentage of basic & DA. But NHPC had not paid anything to me on a/c of this. When enquired, I was told that I am not entitled to the same as I had left before the scheme had been finalized. This is preposterous as the revision of pay never put such condition to deprive  a employee of his genuine dues for such fictitious & devious reasons. For a PSU employee, every rupee of due is important especially that relating to his social security.

 

I had already written to NHPC regarding this which seemed to have fallen in deaf ears.

Yes, I am a EPFO mewmber

arrears are subjkect to EPF and other deductions.
