Pension issue

Is GPF linked to pension?

Is a government servant entitled to pension if her GPF has been deducted regularly without any break?

Could you share a related court order?

No deduction will be made towards GPF contribution from the Govt. servants joining service on or after 1.1. 2004 as GPF scheme is not applicable to them

General provident funds help government employees build a sufficient retirement corpus that will give them a sense of financial security. In short, GPF is a provident fund only available to the government employees in India. Pension funds, in contrast, include aspects of both lump sum and monthly pension payments.

Thanks for that. I joined in 1996 and retired last year. I am being denied my pension. Just looking for a court order that supports pension for GPF members.
