Monthly Income Scheme (MIS)  for rs 90000 was opened on feb 2002 at  post office, UP in the name of 'A' under nomination to 'B' (s/o 'A') was lien marked to court for rs 25000 as security(gurantee)  in the court-case of 'C'( also s/o 'A') this court-case is not yet settled and 'A' passed away on june 2005. 'B'(nominee) aproached the aforesaid post office for renewal with keeping lein intact but postal authorities declined the request. Even after lapse of 9 years MIS couldnot be renewed. Please guide what should be done for renewal of MIS and interest claim for 9 years from post office.

Thanks in advance.

So obtain explicit directions from court..................................to vacate the lien................................to keep the a/c regular with lien......................

Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Advocate)     25 August 2014

in that case follow what is advised by Mr Kumar Doab.

Arpit lalan (Legal Consultancy/Advocate)     27 August 2014

exactly! follow what Mr. Doab has said. since that is the correct manner. Inform the court. Tell your lawyer to bring up the matter in the court and to mention the matter in one of the days immediately. tell the court to ask for direction towards the post office to release your MIS with interest.
