Quiz 2 - Substitution in Consumer Case

Whether a complaint before Consumer Forum abates on death of the complainant ? or is there any provision for substitution of Legal Representatives of complainant under Consumer Protection Act ?

A complaint before Consumer Forum does not abate on the death of the complainant. There is provision regarding this in cl. 7 of S. 13 of the consumer protection Act. In such an event the provisions of O. 22 of the civil procedure code apply for substitution of Legal Representatives of complainant.
