Require lawyer for succession certificate in bangalore

My father passed away in 2012 in Bangalore. He was a resident of Kerala. He had a few physical share certificates and we want to change the ownership of them to my mother. As I understand, we need a succession certificate for the same. Myself, my mother and my brother (who is in Australia) are legal heirs. Can someone let me know whether the same can be processed in Bangalore since I reside in Bangalore. If yes, what all documents do we require for the same.

Was any nomination made in equity share certificates?

Which location is the jurisdiction of courts narrated by the equity share company to you?

Thank you for the response. No, there was no nominee in the equity share certificate. I am still to start the communication with the company. I was trying to prepare the documents beforehand itself. The name of company is Kitex Garments and they are based in Ernakulam, Kerala.
