Should India interfere in Lankan issues?????

Should India interfere in Lankan issues?

On what ground should India interefere with LTTE issues?

1. Can it be left aside by saying that it is Srilanka's internal issue?

2. If not, and if you feel that India should act, should it not be as per a declared policy not due to yielding to some political pressure

3. Should the Govt chose to act due to the pressure from DMK? Can one expect that Congress would take a bold step without thinking of political benefits?

Why not? Indra interfered in Pakistan resulting in creation of Bangladesh. If  Lankan problems is  affecting India security there is no reasons to keep our finger crossed and watched the bl**dy scene. Lawlessness and insecurity in our neighbouring State can have adverse affect in the Country, as such there is no reasons why India should not interfere for creatring Peace and security in Lankan. Infact this will be justified under customary International Law.

Infact, untill and otherwise Srilanka volunters Indian Govt. intervention in this matter, it would not be diplomatically appropriate to involve in Sri Lanka`s domestic affair.

On the otherhand, there has been so many demands from the people in India rather than the people of Srilanka in this regard. This should make India think twice before involving in this. Moreover for us, there are other issues internally to be tackled including that of Kashmir and internal security issues (increased bomb blasts day by day etc)

It must be treated as purely internal problem of their country. As a neighbouring country can help to that country for the sake of welfare of the people. But non-violence to be propagated.

No. India should not interefere in the internal issues of Srilanka. Though the Ethinic Tamil population issue is of grave concern, attempts should be made to focus the issue through United nations.
