Stamp duty

Dear all,

An agreement was entered in Bangalore but it was signed & executed in Bombay. The Satmp Duty in respect of such an instrument was paid in Bangalore. Hence, will the instrument still be valid ? Or, will it has to again pay a separate stamp duty in Bombay ? Will the said agrement still be enforceable ?

Regards,

Sagnik Sanyal

eforceablity of agreement depends on  place of business of parties to the agreement ideally if u want mubai court jurisdiction it shud have been signed in banglore by 1 party  and signed in mumbai by the other party and stamp duty shud be paid in mumbai

or

1 party sign in mumbai and other in banglore and pay stamp duty in banglore for banglore jurisdiction
