Dear Sir,

            I want to file a suit against the govt. authority who is constructing a check dam,what is the procedure for doing a suit against govt and it is necessary to give a notice under sec-80 of C.P.C and please give me format of notice of Sec-80

Please substantiate your facts a bit more as it is evident from your mail that there might be a alternate remedy in the writ jurisdiction of the court.

Also the same would be helpful in ascertaining the cause of action.

No format is needed. You have to serve the copy of plaint and application for TI. Normaly it is served on DGC (Civil) alongwith a copy of application for exemption from notice period on the ground of urgency.

In writ petition before high court, the petition and stay application is served in the office of Standing Counsel of concerned Government and the writ petition can be fied on same day.
