Tenant Dispute

We have a house in the name of my grandpa. He had given it on rent to Mr. X in 2002. We never did any agreement with him regarding rent or evacuation of it. 2 yrs before we asked him to evacuate the house but he kept on making excuses. We many times asked him to leave or tell his intentions. Now he has sent us summons saying that we have use forcible elements to compell him to evacuate the house and has got status quo from the court.Plz help !!

Appear in the court and contest the suit. Also, give him a notice of eviction and file a suit for eviction on the grounds available to you as per the rent act in your state. Because every state has its own rent laws.

Eviction not easy ,tanents are protected under all State laws.
