The HINDU SUCCESSION ACT 2005 (AMENDMENT)

Hello Sir,

I am writing on behalf of my mother.

My mother have two sister and 4 brothers. We had ancestral property (which was owned by Mother's Maternal Grandfather who died before 1950 approx). Recently 4 brothers sold this property without giving my mothers share. My mother is 1924 born. The property is in Karnataka.

Other two sisters have passed away.

Sir, could you please advice whether The HINDU SUCCESSION ACT 2005  (AMENDMENT) will be applied in this case. If yes, how should we proceed. And could you also post the fact of this act.

Thanks,

Your advice is sincerly appreciated.

Hi niranjan,

The property was on lease which ended last year. Then these people got their names on it and sold this property two months ago in Jan 2011.

Thanks, please let me know if I need to provide more data.
